Description

WV writes that he is glad the anniversary went well and sorry that it was not practical for him to attend, he writes that Mr Savory (the Minister at Salem Chapel) has left Kensington Gardens to move to Western Cottages, next door to Mrs Medcalf. The letter mentions a painful parting between RW's sister Martha Vine and a J Tilly who left for Portsmouth. This is probably refers to Jabez Tilly whom Martha was to marry in 1840.
