Biographical information

Beryl Moppett was born on 6 August 1926 in Aldbourne in Wiltshire and moved to Brighton at the age of 2, where she has lived ever since, apart from a 9-year stay in Berkshire during her first marriage.

As a child, she lived first in Balfour Road and then in Brigden Street. She attended Stanford Road Infants School, then went to Balfour Road Junior School and returned to Stanford Road Junior School for 6 months. The first report comes from this period. She then went to Brighton Intermediate School for Girls in York Place, where the second series of reports were written.

She had a varied career, which included painting (several paintings were shown at the Royal Academy), acting during her time in Reading, and some spells of office work. She married twice.
