The three diaries give a detailed account of RR's life in Brighton over a period of four months in 2004, when he first moved to the city. Topics covered include family and friends, his love life (he is gay), music (he plays in a band), work (he works with people with learning disabilities) and general observations and opinions. The diaries are accompanied by photos, song lyrics, and scrapbook material such as maps, leaflets etc.
Ross Reeves (born 1981) has been keeping diaries since the age of 18, with some breaks. He has written approximately 34 diaries in total over the last eight years - though some volumes are slender and some are incomplete. He writes diary entries daily when travelling; monthly when living in the same place.
He moved to Brighton in 2004, having spent 1999-2004 travelling and living abroad, and then returning to stay for a few months in London and Ireland.
