The diary starts on May 13th 1988, and the pages from January-May are then filled in for events in 1989.
The diary records details of the events attended by the Mayor and the charities which were supported during the year. The events included the demolition of the Shoreham Power Station chimney and the 400th anniversary of the Armada.
